Award-winning producer, composer and songwriter Daniel Indart is widely respected in the entertainment industry as one of the most prolific and knowledgeable artist/executives in the world of Latin music. His music credits run the gamut of such high-profile film and television credits as the theme for the NBC series “Kingpin” and music for HBO’s “The Sopranos” – to commercial work including campaigns for Miller Lite beer and Hyundai automobiles among many others. As an artist/songwriter, Indart has performed with some of the biggest names in the music industry including Ricky Martin, Placido Domingo and Quincy Jones. Indart’s Los Angeles-based companies Latin Music Specialists (LMS) and LMS Records are among the premier sources for recorded Latin Music in the world today.
Born in South America, Indart’s mother was Prima Ballerina and choreographer at the prestigious Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Argentina and throughout her career became a world-renowned instructor and choreographer. Through her, Daniel was introduced to the music of the Classical composers as well as the Latin American vast musical Folklore, including Tango and Flamenco, and to musicians and dance professionals from all over the world.
Daniel’s academic excellence and musical talent led him to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A. in film scoring. After graduation, RCA International signed Daniel to its stable of performers and two songs from his first album became number one hits on the South American charts.
As a songwriter, Daniel has written thousands of songs and commercial music pieces. As a performer, he has recorded three record albums, the lead voice in musical spots for numerous advertising campaigns as well as on record projects for Ricky Martin, Plácido Domingo, Ana Gabriel, Gloria Trevi, Pimpinela, Yuri, Lupita D’Alessio, Xuxa and “We Are The World” and worked with Quincy Jones, Humberto Gatica, and Grammy winner producers K.C. Porter, Antonio “Moogie” Canazio and Kenny O’Brien among many others.
In 1986, Indart founded Indart Music & Sound (IMS) has created and produced music and sound design for more than 1000 commercials, IMS has won a host of industry awards including Clios, Beldings and Se Habla Espanol awards.
In addition, Indart also founded Latin Music Specialists (LMS) which is the licensing arm of LMS Records which specializes in providing Latin music for film, television, multimedia, e-commerce, gaming, B2B and traditional record company licensing applications. Creating Latin Music Specialists (LMS), Indart has become the entertainment industry’s foremost expert in all genres of Latin Music.
In 2001, he launched LMS Records, independently owned Los Angeles-based record company specializing in the best in multi-genre, traditional and contemporary Latin Music.
Daniel Indart’s numerous television/film credits include the theme song on NBC’s hit series “KingPin,” music for HBO’s “The Sopranos,” and “Dexter,” FX series “The Shield” and “Nip Tuck;” CBS's “Medium,” “CSI:N.Y.,” “CSI:Miami,” and “CSI:Los Angeles;” NBC’s “Chuck,” Showtime’s “Weeds;” “Burn Notice,” (USA); “Lie To Me,” (FOX) and feature films including: “Dance with Me,” “Gran Torino,” “I Love You Philip Morris,” “Take The Lead,” “The Matador,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Swing Vote,” “Sunshine Cleaning,” “In The Valley of Elah,” “10 Items or Less,” “Happy Endings,” “The Sentinel,” “Date Movie,” “The Hot Chick,” “Laws of Attraction,” “S.W.A.T.,” “The Game of Their Lives,” “Spy Hard,” “Little Miss Sunshine” and many more.
