Suzanne Morales

Suzanne Morales has worked all over the world in the music industry for years. This is the first CD of her own compositions. The eleven compositions are of a variety of Latin styles being, Bossa Novas, Boleros, Rumbas Flamencas and one Salsa, featuring her sultry vocals and guitar playing. Suzanne was raised in North, Central, and South America, so her lyrics are both in Spanish and English. She continued her travels with musical tours throughout the world. "I've been based in Colorado for the past ten years playing mainly Latin music. There is a huge community of Latinos here and quite a few musicians as well. A lot of wonderful players live in the Denver area, and it has been a treat recording with them. My plan was to use only acoustic instruments on this project, which was challenging. Synthesized and electric music can make things easier sometimes. The keyboard player can play the string and horn parts, etc., but I wanted the sound of the musician with his instrument. No effects units, no amplifiers to crank up, and I succeeded, but not without help. Vivir Con Amore

I wrote Sigo Siendo Tuya during the time that we were recording the lead instruments. It moved me so much that I decided to add it to the CD without an arrangement. (If I had had the time, I would have asked Vohn to arrange that one too.) Peter Huffaker, another extremely talented bass player in the area, was working with Robert and me in a trio setting, when I set the chord chart to that song in front of him, on the gig. He sounded so beautiful that I asked him to play it on the disc. I figured we would knock it out in no time since we were rehearsed. Success!
