Rey el Vikingo (The Viking King), Reinery Diaz, is a Cuban hip-hop and reggaeton artist who's latest album, "Chilling," to be released in the fall of 2010 with due anticipation. He first began his music career in 2002 as a member of the popular group Convoy Cubano. Diaz along with Qbanito (Neiver Alvarez) gained much notoriety in 2002 while performing at the annual Montreal Jazz Festival, which peeked the interest of the Montreal press.

El Vikingo launched his solo career in 2006 with the debut of the internationally well-received album, “Pasion Cubana." He has performed at numerous venues including a renowned appearance at Calle Ocho in Miami, one of the largest street music festivals in the world.

While his music has been banned in Cuba and Venezuela due to his unwavering criticism directed toward the respective heads of office, his music has been embraced in those and many other countries around the world.
