Semana Santa, More Than a Spring Break for Latinos

Semana Santa (Holy Week) in the Hispanic Culture is the most important religious event of the year, starting with Palm Sunday and ending on Easter Sunday.

A time of reflection and celebration about the life of Christ for the Catholic faith, each Latin country has its own particular  commemorative traditions.

Long processions through the streets of Seville, Spain and Mexico City, as well as private family and local community events at churches and cathedrals take place throughout Latin America's colonial cities and towns.

These songs and instrumentals enhance the spirit of devotion, soul searching and celebration.
